BHoP#029 The Metaphorical Family
Dr Koontz and Rev Fisk talk about the natural formation of the family, terms of nature becoming metaphors, transgenderism and the sexual revolutions disconnection morally and legally of sex, children and marriage, and the American state becoming the husband and father of the "ideal" family, taking education, economics, and force into its own hands.
Dr Koontz - Agrarian, Egghead - Concordia Theological Seminary Fort Wayne
Rev Fisk - Author, Fanatic - St Paul Rockford

Augustine DID draw from Plato (specifically Plotinus) rather than Aristotle. It was St. Thomas Aquinas that took the ideas of Augustine and Aristotelianized them. Interestingly, Luther is often understood to reject philosophy in theology through his Heidelberg Disputation.. people often forget that the Disputation was broken into two sections: the theological theses, and the philosophical theses. In the philosophical theses he rejects Aristotle and lauds Platonism in no uncertain terms.

Could Augustine been more effective if he’d drawn from Plato instead of Aristotle? I remember reading about this some where. ‘Effective’ isn’t the correct word but it’s all I can think of. On the other hand, from your content it sounds like Socrates/Plato/Aristotle were cut from the same cloth. 🤔🤫🤔
