Really good thoughts. I appreciate these discussions. One goal I have, which I have only slightly achieved, is to get more regular circuit convocations where pastors, teachers, and all the laity can get together to study God’s Word and be strengthened on our confession. The brothers in the circuit are all for this too, though it is easy just to neglect it. I believe suspicion also comes from a cynical, defeated attitude, which turns application of doctrine into a chasing of wind.
