As a Psychiatrist by vocation, I agree laughter and humor in fallen world are in defense to the fallen-ness. That may not be a word. Freud "take with grain of salt" had defense mechanisms, mature, neurotic, and immature "maladaptive." Humor was the highest of the immature defense of self concept mechanisms. Anyway, I enjoy your rants, as I transition to Confessional Lutherism, to know even after that change...the journey continues.
